STUDENT BANKING EVERY FRIDAY AT COMMONWEALTH ELEMENTARY WITH ENCORE BANK
Commonwealth Elementary has partnered with Encore Bank to encourage our kids to save.
Through the program, our kids bank at the Commonwealth Cafeteria every Friday morning from 7.30 -8 am, giving them hands-on banking experience in a fun and interactive environment. Each weekly deposit enables the kid to earn a reward.
Minimum deposit is only 25 cents!
ART - REFLECTIONS 2011-2012 CONTEST RESULTS:
CWE PTA Reflections Art Program Contest Results were announced on January 12, 2012. Prizes were awarded in the following categories - Visual Arts, Photography, Musical composition and Literature.
Judging was based on creativity, artistic merit and interpretation of the theme “Diversity Means ...”
A big Thank You to Monica Maza for leading this wonderful program and encouraging art appreciation in our children. Thanks also to Principal Hagler for recognizing all the children who participated.

CWE Student Council announces opening of the SCHOOL STORE
The School Store will be open Wednesdays from 7.40 am to 8 am in front of the fifth grade pod. The School Store is student run, open to all students and supervised by Student Council advisors. The profits from the store will be used to purchase materials and support student activities throughout the year.
Your child will turn in a completed order form along with the money at the Store and the order will be filled and delivered to his/her homeroom on Thursday.

CWE MATH MASTERS - MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIADS #3 RESULTS
The CWE Math Masters tested their problem solving skills in the third Math Olympiad contest on January 10.
Six students achieved a perfect score, seven students achieved a near perfect score, and everyone got at least 3 of the five problems correct.
